Letters from the garden

Dear Readers,

Happy spring everyone, well I have to say last week was back breaking for the teams, we worked together on a project and there was a lot soil in and out for this one, some lovely plants and a lot of digging!!! We all slept well and the client was very happy, we are very pleased with the teams they did a great job.

Highlights or lows however you perceive them, is when we had to get a breaker out to dig the holes for the lovely Pleached trees, we hit a massive pocket of chalk in amongst the most flint I think I have ever seen. But I suppose for that perfect look these are the things that are sent to try us, and I’m glad to say we made it.

It might have broken a few including my big brother whom I apologise to, as were the rest of the landscaping and gardening crew. Those trees were heavy!!!  Thank you to Christian for helping manage this project, greatly appreciated. I will be adding a couple of clips to the website so if you have a chance please take a look.

It was a lovely job and the planting scheme I enjoyed, very classic and elegant, beautiful Pleached Pear tress, underplanted with purple and white hellebore hybrids, specimen plants of Prunus, Cornus, and some very large but stunning white Camellias, plus lots of foliage and to finish of the pretty scheme Scabious Blue Butterfly, along with the white hydrangeas and purple Alliums it will look stunning.

Thank you to the client, we enjoyed dressing the project you began, and we will get to enjoy the development as the gardening team will be maintaining this gem of an outside space, beautifully laid out with borders and pathways and lawn and modern patio all dug into a hill!! I know thankfully it wasn’t us.

Enjoy your garden whatever space you have.
