Letters from the garden
Dear Readers, It’s cold but spring is in the air, the birds are very active in the hedgerows and playing, it’s fun to watch, that’s part of gardening you notice the behaviours rather than just the feeding, the love the bathing whether it’s water or dust baths it’s all part of the game. I have my Tete a Tete out showing their little yellow faces, love it and I can’t wait for the next sign of spring. The hellebores and showing off rather nicely, making me smile every time I walk up to the house, it’s these moments that you have or have not planned that make all that planting and weeding and digging worthwhile. I have a concrete pad at the side of our property and shady so it’s all pots, so I have tried to choose for all seasons, Witchazel, Hellebores, bulbs, Heucheras, Hostas and herbaceous Geraniums, with Ferns as I love them. It cheers up the spot and we get move it around the seasons change. Well we’ve been working with a current client on their retail space, it has been designed by a Chelsea award winning designer, and hopefully will be finished in time for spring. The lawns are already starting to grow, I’ve even started weeding my own garden, the teams have been busy on pond planting projects and now the gardening is starting with vengeance, so If you do need to think about the garden don’t forget to call us. We are also working on Garden Designs and Planting Plans so you know we can help on both sides, we like to keep ourselves busy, busy, busy. Hope to hear from you 😊 Lynn Dupont
