Letters from the garden

Dear readers,

It’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show time, we are going as usual, I love Hampton Court it’s relaxed and you get to see the gardens and enjoy the atmosphere, for those of you that will be visiting I hope you enjoy and I might see you there.
We are taking Connor and Joe this year so they can see what goes into this level of showing the world your skills and being passionate enough to have a vision and carry it through.
This kind of work is no different to the simple small patio that needs laying with a few finishing touches or an existing bed that needs revamping or replanting, change an area of a garden, build a wall, flint work, using high end materials to standard materials, adding colour, removing old and overgrown shrubs to give a new view, we do this everyday. We want our teams to understand that they already do this, it’s their job and our job and there is every reason to believe that we can achieve the same level, it takes hard work, knowledge, good communication and to ultimately enjoy it, everyday is a School day so keep learning and you will always feel that there’s still more to come and you will never be bored or unpassionate about what you do.
Looking forward to the next big thing may seem like even more work but, you just learn to keep moving forward, work hard and enjoy what’s in front of you.
Happy gardening, you know you’ll buy a plant too big for the car or the train but does it matter, if it makes you smile when you get it home.
Just one more thing, if you like a plant but you may not have the right soil or area put in it a pot so you can have it, and enjoy it.
