Letters from the garden
Dear Readers, I have just come back from France (Busman’s Holiday) where a very good friend lives on her Alpaca farm, and looks after the English contingent from a gardening point of view. Considering the Horticultural side of the business is getting busier and busier, with designs and planting plans, advice etc. I wasn’t expecting to land at a Chateau to do their planting scheme around a swimming pool, I mean it’s a different world!!! Loved it and the sun did shine for us. My talented husband and I, have already been asked to advise on a design for the front of the Chateau, and for it to be sympathetic to the building and the landscape surroundings. Can’t wait to see what happens but so glad that these opportunities are happening. Having done most of my planting and advice for more beautiful local gardens, this is where my main base is and will probably stay. Planting advice, a design or a simple planting plan, this is where my passion lies and don’t forget pots and containers can lift an area, it doesn’t need to be grand for it to work. A simple change to a colour scheme or type of plant can instantly change the look, don’t be afraid to try something different, it can be done with something structural too, like a beautiful piece of wood, water or simple iron stakes personally made for your garden. Whatever you would like to discuss please don’t hesitate to call. Lynn Dupont MNB Horticulture
