Letters from the garden
Dear Readers, Mid December and i would imagine most of us have done our Tree and Wreaths, i know i have, i love putting the tree up with the twinkling lights and decorations that i have collected over the years, i even did popcorn garlands this year which was very nostalgic. (The birds will get these after Christmas i have been informed that they like it.) I will start bringing the outside in gradually, i like variegated ivy draped around pieces if furniture, lights and frames, if i get time i might do a lovely evergreen garland along the big window if not it will be my Faux one!!! I hope you are enjoying bringing the outside in and don’t forget to decorate, lit up trees are lovely and maybe some outside flower and foliage displays if you have some stone urns or empty pots maybe, have a bit of fun with it, there’s always something that can be used. We have had a couple of frosts, so protect those tender plants, i forgot to move my tarragon under cover so i’ve lost that this year, but it's an excuse to buy fresh herbs in the Spring. I’m hoping that for once on Christmas Day we get a frost rather than the usual grey that we normally see, but a positive look on it is we will have passed mid-winter by then and the days start getting longer, slowly but surely. Have a lovely Christmas and New Year, and we hope to see you all soon. We are closed from the 21st December and we will return to the gardens on the 7th of January 2019. In the meantime If you need anything, please give us a call. Lynn and Christian Dupont
